One of the hardest things in our life is to bury our own children, and then have to think of the costs that this will involve. For this reason the government have set up the Child's Funeral Fund, where a child is under the age of 18. This will allow for our York coffin and hearse or limousine only, The fund is not means tested and is open to all bereaved parents. Local authorities, whether your preferred choice would be burial or cremation, again will be charging direct to the Child’s Funeral Fund. This is to try and help with the hardship of having to find fees to pay for a funeral for a child.

We will also go through other options with grieving families to allow them to make there own choices in addition to what the Child Funeral Fund allows, but this may also involve fees to being paid directly to ourselves as your chosen funeral directors, There is a charity that will now also help in certain circumstances towards a child's funeral. We can offer a Direct cremation. This would take place at a crematurium of our choice, at a time stipulated by ourselves. So what is involved in the Direct Cremation. This is the cheapest funeral option available and may not suit all your requirements. We can discusse the requirement at the time of the funeral arragements. We would also like to point out, that in the Direct Cremation option that there is no provisions of a ministerial service at the crematorium. The most popular option, when using the Direct Cremation is a memorial service at a church of your choice, prior to scattering and placing of your loves ones ashes, at rest.

• A simple Oak finished coffin with Brass effect handles and Name plate.
• Removal from place of death to our Chapel of Rest, this is during our normal office hours only. Should the death occurs outside of office hours there will be an additional charge of £140.00 added to the to the total funeral costs.
• The use of the Chapel of Rest, allowing you and your famly to pay their respects. During office working hours.
• All fees required and relating to the cremation at the crematorium of our choice, and at a time stipulated by us.
• Transportation to the crematorium, in a suitable vehicle.

The cost of this service is an inclusive cost of £1350.00. All cost would have to be paid prior to the funeral taking place at crematorium.

As a community Funeral Director, we like to offer the communities of Tameside and Glossop, with fair price funeral that you can request if, require. This is what we close as the Simple Funeral Option.

The simple funeral option is based on a cremation only and is available at an inclusive cost of £2495.00 this cost includes all of the statutory disbursement, and is to be discharged upfront, before the funeral is to take place.

The Simple Funeral consists of:

• A simple oak effect coffin
• Hearse only - No limousines can be added to this funeral.
• Removal of Deceased. During office hours only (and within a 10 mile of the office and chapel of rest).
• Chapel visits - Chapel visit are during our normal office hours only.
• Cremation at Dukinfield or Stockport Crematorium, at a time convenient to you. Manchester & Stockport Crematoriums additional £75.00
  
• All statutory disbursement are included in the above cost, including a Minister, Priest of Celebrant at the Crematorium.
• Flowers can be added at cost.
